Product Features
The QUANTUM MAX DRIVER, a driver that offers unprecedented speed made possible by ultra-thin titanium and carbon construction,
is positioned as the standard model in the QUANTUM MAX DRIVER series.
The head has a volume of 460 cm³ and a round form that is characteristic of Callaway, inheriting the shape from the previous ELYTE driver.
While the crown is made of carbon, the sole uses titanium, which is designed to create a low and deep center of gravity, making it easier to get the ball airborne.
An adjustable hosel is also adopted. Discrete weights are installed at the rear of the sole, and by swapping the positions of the internal weights of approximately 9g and 1g, you can choose between a draw bias (approximately 9g in the heel/approximately 1g in the toe) and a neutral bias (approximately 1g in the heel/approximately 9g in the toe). The weight at the front of the sole is approximately 2g.
The "QUANTUM driver series" achieves unprecedented speed thanks to its three-layer face structure.
According to "Strokes Gained," an index officially used on the PGA Tour and elsewhere to statistically evaluate the value of each shot by a player in golf, distance is more important than accuracy, and it is said that on average scores tend to improve as driver distance increases.
This is because the probability of getting the ball on the green or getting close to the hole is higher for approach shots from shorter distances.
Therefore, when developing the 2026 model driver, Callaway's theme was "SPEED IS EVERYTHING." In other words, it was the pursuit of even greater speed.
The theme they arrived at to achieve this was to see how far they could push the limits of superior rebound force by making the titanium face material as thin as possible.
The industry's first three-layer face structure, "TRI-FORCE Face," which layers polymer material and carbon fiber on titanium, achieves a dramatically increased ball speed and distance performance compared to conventional models.
A new series called "QUANTUM," which means "breakthrough," has been launched.
The answer to making titanium thinner: multi-layer construction
. In pursuit of even greater ball speed, the focus of the "QUANTUM" series drivers was to push the rebound force of the titanium face to the ultimate level.
If the conventional titanium face is made even thinner, it is naturally possible to increase the flex, but on the other hand, there are durability issues, and the thickness has already reached its limit.
How can this problem be overcome? Callaway's solution was to make the face multi-layered.
With over 59,000 prototypes and more than 2.27 million simulations,
the newly introduced "TRI-FORCE Face" is, as its name suggests, a three-layer structure.
It was perfected after more than 59,000 prototypes were created and more than 2.27 million impact simulations were performed.
The hitting surface that strikes the ball is made of titanium, as before, but it is 14% thinner than that of the previous ELYTE series.
To support this, a thin layer of polymer mesh and a thin layer of carbon fiber are layered on the back.
This maintains durability while dramatically improving the rebound force of the titanium face and ball speed.
At the same time, the polymer mesh and carbon fiber also contribute to bringing the CT value of this face into compliance with the coefficient of restitution regulations.
The thinner titanium further enhances the trajectory correction effect of the AI design.
The face, of course, incorporates Callaway's long-cultivated AI design, but in the "QUANTUM" driver, as mentioned above, the titanium portion has been made significantly thinner than before, so the face flexes more easily at impact, which further strengthens the control point of the AI design and allows the trajectory correction effect to be exerted more than ever before.
In particular, even when hitting the ball in various places on the face, the range of increase or decrease in spin rate is much smaller than in the previous ELYTE model, making it easier to maintain the optimal spin rate.
For example, with heel shots, the spin is not excessive, minimizing ballooning of the ball, and with toe shots, the spin is not reduced too much, resulting in a stable distance.
The ATHLEMAX shaft is
an original shaft developed for a wide range of golfers.
It offers a smooth, natural flex and maximizes distance.
